In response to high demand from fans, Backwoods Music Festival has added a special Thursday night pre-party to its Labor Day Weekend festivities. On September 1st, Desert Dwellers, Space Jesus, and Esseks will make their way to Tatanka Ranch in Stroud, Oklahoma to kick off the long weekend of electronic music mayhem.
These stars of the underground join headliners NERO, Big Gigantic, moe., Nahko & Medicine for the People, Liquid Stranger, Manic Focus, Audien, Goldfish, Haywyre, Tritonal, Fractal Sky, Dreamers Delight, Wick-it The Instigator, Zoogma, VibeSquaD, and so many more.
There's been special attention paid to visual art on-site this year, and Backwoods organizers are excited to unveil the wild spectacle its VJs, installations, and outposts are preparing. VIP is definitely the way to go, as those privileged individuals get pool access, flushable toilets, and prime viewing areas. And don't forget to climb the fire tower and see the entire festival as few get to see it. When those lasers go off, you want to have that bird's eye view.
From humble beginnings, this festival just an hour east of Oklahoma City has grown into the biggest collection of electronic, jam, indie rock, and folk acts in the Plains with tons of activities, camping and RV options, and perks for VIP ticket holders. Nearly a decade in the making, this is gonna be the biggest Backwoods yet! Visit backwoodsmusicfestival.com to get all the info!
