Shireworks Productions presents The Big Up Festival and announces its 2011 music and arts festival event on July 28, 29 and 30 at Sunnyview Farm in Ghent, New York. With EOTO, Big Gigantic, Marco Benevento Trio and Digital Tape Machine featuring Joel Cummins and Kris Meyers of Umphrey's McGee topping the first round lineup of over 50-plus hours of live music throughout three days, 2011 promises to be the festival’s biggest and best year yet.
 
In addition to the first round of headliners, The Big Up Festival 2011 will also highlight performances by Ott, Orchard Lounge, Abakus, Papadosio, Higher Organix, The Breakfast, The Polish Ambassador, Indobox, Kung Fu, Jimkata, The Malah, Strange Arrangement, Timbre Coup, Cyborg Trio, Blacklight Rukus and many others. A relative newcomer on the national festival scene, The Big Up Festival has already become a summer tradition for many New York natives as well as Northeast and Mid-Atlantic festival-goers seeking a unique and intimate festival experience . The festival grounds, with its remarkable views of the Upper Hudson Valley hills and water ways, is the perfect backdrop for this eclectic, innovative and distinct music and arts festival. 


 
Sunnyview Farm is conveniently located just 40 minutes from downtown Albany, New York, and less than three hours driving distance from New York City, Boston, Providence, Hartford, Burlington, and Newark making its location a central gathering point for major metro areas in the Northeast.
 
The Big Up Festival 2011 Early Bird Ticket price is $70.00 for a three-day pass. Early Bird Ticket supplies are limited and will go quickly. Once the Early Bird Tickets are sold, the ticket price will be adjusted to the normal advance rate of $90.00 for a three-day pass while supplies last. The at gate ticket price will be $120.00.
 
VIP Passes are available and will include VIP designated camping, half price beer, premium parking, RV camping, VIP porta-potty service, The Big Up VIP laminate, VIP lounge in the late night barn, breakfast and dinner, Thursday night welcome BBQ and VIP party, The Big Up poster, The Big Up VIP edition T-shirt and daily concierge service.
 
Gates will open at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 and the festival grounds will close on Sunday, July 31 at noon.
