Sonic Blossom (Oct 11-12 - Denver, CO) 2013 Preview

Each year, the organizers behind the transformational electronic music labaratory/training facility/breeding ground Sonic Bloom assemble a smaller, indoor version of the festival to take place each October in Denver, CO. Though smaller in size, the ideas, the artists, and the talent is bigger than ever.
Sonic Blossom will hit Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom and The Other Side this weekend (October 11-12) with some of the biggest names in sacred bass, psychedelic exploration, and musical talent. With an emphasis on art and mind-expanding workshops, the two-day, dual-venue event is enjoying the most incredible variety and intention in its history.
Headlining the event is Random Rab, who is enjoying, today, the release of his latest album--Release. Joining Rab this weekend will be noted visual artist Android Jones, who stands head and shoulders above the electronic music scene as the most talented visual producer in the industry. Rab will also bring along his percussionist, Cedar, for a live experience like no other.
Kalya Scintilla and Bird of Prey will be joining in the fun, freshly kicking off The Divine Alignment tour, sponsored by TheUntz.com, last week. The latter also this week released Flight Patterns from his Birds of Paradise project with Gibson. Sacred bass will be fully represented by Desert Dwellers, Kaminanda, Skytree, and more. The king of ambient and downtempo exploration, Bluetech, will also be on hand to anchor the event.
The world of jam is also represented by three sturdy names. The Werks, The Malah, and lespecial will meld the worlds of electronica and jam, balancing the work of producers with good ol' fashioned instruments. And it wouldn't be a Colorado show without some of that Mountain Music. The electro-soul of Late Night Radio and Marvel Years will ensure variety will win the day.
