Even though we were kinda expecting it, the result caught us off guard.
We really can’t believe Ivy Lab will be joining us this summer at The Untz Festival. They’ve just released a brand new track “Sleaze” today, a collaboration found on the forthcoming SHADES EP, and it is advisable that you drop anything your doing, grab your headphones and treat yourself to a respectable dose of midweek bass therapy.
“Sleaze” is the first taste of the new EPROM x Alix Perez EP, which is slated for a release later this month. You might expect that combining five world-renowned producers in the studio would result in some fairly groundbreaking material. This track blows past that assumption with well-trained precision and sinister flare. Ivy Lab and Shades are two projects representing some of the most forward thinking and talented artists in the business. They have just set off on a North American tour and you can have the chance to catch, what might be, the best run of shows all year.
You can head over to Red Bull and find a link to stream “Sleaze” and other tracks from the new SHADES EP, Night of the Dreadless Angel, the 4-track EP coming soon to 1985 Music, as well as a trove of Ivy Lab productions to tide you over until June. With EPROM and Ivy Lab both on the bill for this summer, we're patiently waiting what will hopefully be more than a few gems along the way.
