It's been a while since Josh Sidell graced our feeds, but everytime he does, he brings that psychedelic bass magic.
Psydell is a familiar member of our extended glitch-hop family. He's performed at The Untz Festival (including an impromptu sunrise B2B with Alejo), and premiered a number of tunes with us over the years. His latest is the title track from his new EP, Luca, which is out September 6th on Addictech Records.
“Luca” takes the Psydell sound we've come to know and love, and brings it into a contemporary glitch landscape, which is to say the dark, neuro elements are at the forefront, and then bass blasts are that much more hard-edged. Where his tracks may have strayed towards the funkier in the past, they pull more brutal these days. Just a byproduct of the times in which we live.
Sidell has taken a step back from playing a ton of shows, so only fans in the right place at the right time in the Midwest get to hear these tunes on proper speakers, but the community of support that is behind this monumentally talented individual is a testament to the kind of exciting and original voice he has.
