In late February 2020 I conducted an interview with Mimosa about the 10th anniversary of Psychedelic Stereo as well as his battles with addiction and bouncing back in the music industry. All signs were pointing to his return to the spotlight and a redemption story that we don't get to enjoy enough in the bass world.
Unfortunately, we all know what happened with 2020.
Fast foward to this fall, and shows are back (for the most part) and Mimosa is able to work his way back into the bass industry through the kind of high-energy shows he used to play, and he's got a bunch of music to help him get back to where he belongs.
To that end, he's got a throwback dubstep tune in the mode of Rusko circa 2009 in “333,” which is out October 15th on Muti Music, a label that has been his bedrock for years. There are few things more Bay Area than Mimosa and Muti, and we're proud to support both.
