For the better part of a decade, MethLab Recordings and its sister MethLab Agency has been has been fueling and fostering the growth of the international experimental bass community. The tireless work of the label to promote cutting edge music all the while allowing talented acts to tour the world and find their niche audiences will not be forgetten, and its reliable output will be missed.
It's appropriate then that one of the final releases to come out of the MethLab will be from one of its brightest stars, Subp Yao, who drops Sum Output this Friday, January 31. Fans get a tease today of the title track, which is part of a collection that sees the producer's return to 140. It's as provocative and edgy as ever in its expansive sound and production technique.
MethLab will be missed, but the 'Output' is as good as it's ever been.
