At long last the wait is finally over. Phutureprimitive's latest EP, Flow, has arrived, and fans will not be disappointed. Working in many of the same areas of sexy, low, rumbling bass and ephemeral vocal flavors, there is a familiarity in this 5-pack of songs that followers of Rain will tumble into like fresh sheets.

We premiered opener “Boundless” last week, and the lead off tune takes us right back to that effervescent sound that first captured our imagination. The title track, “Flow” is the most energetic of the collection, pumping up the BPM's and bringing us to an emotional peak.

Lifeline” sees Rain reunited with longtime collaborator Alyssa Palmer, who fans will remember as having contributed to classic Phutureprimitive material. “Distorted Reality” jumps right back into the heart-pounding bass sound, and the closer, “Samskara (Portal 1)” takes on an almost ethereal future bass sound to finish off the 5-track collection.

An evolution in sound design, influence, and excitement has taken Rain's sonic aesthetic to new heights. Longtime fans will be heartened to know that though time has passed, and things have changed, they can still count on that sultry bass from the master.

Phutureprimitive joins Papadosio on the Shapeshiftour kicking off in earnest today in Gainesville, Florida. The tour's true kickoff took place this past weekend at Resonance Music & Arts Festival in Ohio.

Phutureprimitive Flow TourWhile the tour is east of the Mississippi, Dosio will close, while Rain will handle closing duties on the western portion of the tour. Several Florida dates this week will bleed over into Louisiana and then Texas. Then the run moves through the southwest, into California, and up the west coast culminating in Seattle.

That is when Phutureprimitive shifts gear into his solo, EP release Flow Tour, presented by TheUntz.com, which hits a couple more spots in northern California, heads over the mountains into the midwest and northeast, and then back to Colorado to close things out with two dates in Denver and Fort Collins.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the new material, and these dates with Papadosio and other great support beyond that are driving anticipation through the roof.
