Our pals at ShadowTrix Music keep feeding us the hot new bass, and we keep cramming it down our ear throats (that's a thing) like insatiably hungry low-end junky goblins (also a thing). Mike.iLL has been making huge strides over the past couple fo years, seeing some success in festival and club booking, and linking up with the right folks to take his career to the next level. Obviously we think linking up with STM is a smart move, because we did the same damn thing. More on that later.

The new Mike.iLL EP, Destination West Coast drops on Tuesday, May 16th, complete with remixes from Sigrah and Pixelord, as well as collabs with SuDs and Subduktion, and a barrel full of original tunes on top. It's everything we love about west coast bass with a Mike.iLL twist.

The Untz Festival 2017Today we premiere one of his tunes with one of our all-time faves Nathan Ramos a.k.a. Kozmo. A chiller, more comtemplative tune from Nathan or Mike than we've heard in the past, “Phantom,” is a really minimal yet catchy tune with plenty of applications—from a late night set to a solo adventure down the highway. The whole package is righteous from top to bottom, and Mike.iLL is going to be getting a ton of heat from this one.

Back on the ShadowTrix tip, fans of the label need to get out to The Untz Festival in Mariposa, California early next month, June 2-4 to be exact, to witness the next wave of bass superstars STM is bringing to the event. Catch TASO, PartyWave, Rude Boy Noize, Wu Wei, and the aforementioned SuDs and Kozmo amongst others. This is where bass stars are born. Don't miss out.

Visit www.theuntzfestival.com to snag your tickets before they recede into the shadows.
