Two Fresh consists of twin brothers Sherwyn and Kendrick Nicholls and is accompanied live by drummer Colby Buckler. The twins have been making music since their freshman year of high school. In early December 2008 they added Colby on drums for the live setting. Collectively, they keep the whole place moving with a sound that fuses hip-hop and jazz with the intensity of uniquely styled live drums.
Two Fresh has come along way since grasping their sound. In October of 2009 the duo released their first EP "Baker's Dozen" on 1320 records. In January of 2010 they started LabCoat, a collective of artists out of Asheville, North Carolina, including Jables and Bookworm, who began experimenting with the use of collaborations in an effort to push the boundaries of all musical aspects. Currently working on more in depth tracks combining aspects of experimental music and hip hop, look out for new releases from Two Fresh at www.twofreshbeats.com, www.labcoated.com,www.1320records.com. Aside from their studio work, Two Fresh has built a massive following with their constant touring. Look for them to keep this up in 2010 with several tour dates in North America and Europe.
For almost a decade, Signal Path’s mission has been to push the boundaries of electronic music in the performance setting. As one of the pioneers of their genre, Signal Path has influenced countless artists across the country, been downloaded by tens of thousands of loyal fans nationwide, played almost every major US festival, and has gained international recognition for their live shows.
In the next phase of Signal Path, and almost two years since their last major tour, fans find the band producing a sound that has become more mature, authoritative, and immense. While still blending both live instrumentation and computer generated production, Signal Path is creating some of the most progressive music in their history. Originally a duo, Signal Path comes full circle with Ryan Burnett producing and playing guitar and Damon Metzner on the acoustic drums. This configuration allows the sound to become focused, spontaneous, and rich.
With a new record made available to their fans absolutely free through their website www.signalpathmusic.com, The Path is back, updated, and will be coming to a city near you. Check back soon for added tour dates, show info, news, or to just download the free album! Peace!
