Their trademark sound consists of swinging low-end bass-lines, catchy club synths, and potent lyrics. Since their inception in late 2009, DJ’s BONS & Vadum Rankin have been sharpening each other’s strengths to produce music that is (hood) rich, opulent, and uncustomary. Before collaborating as the Repeat Offenders, each shined in their own right. BONS a veteran DJ and pioneer of Growroom Records played a key roll in the early EDM scene in New England. Later he collaborated with Screwface Johnson (of OMG recordings) and formed Bon Johnson, (most notably) infamous for their cult classic “slumber party massacre”. Currently he is planted in the Porterhouse Media camp, collaborating on video remix projects with America’s #2 rated DJ Steve Porter. Vadum, one of Boston club scenes most integral players, has been responsible for some of the most celebrated events in the city over the last 3-4 yrs. Long time affiliate of the Delorean Music Company, Vadum has productions due out this fall featuring collaborations with Hot Pink Delorean and Fantastadon. The tracks are boasting support from the likes of Fake Blood, Mighty Fools and Nom de Strip. Currently the Repeat Offenders are buried in the studio with hip-hop remix projects with artists from ATL to LA. They are gigging along side artists such as Laidback Luke & Tittsworth to name a few. With the trap on lock the Repeat Offenders are poised for noise in the years to come. |
