The Presets DJ set, Congorock, Treasure Fingers, Gameboy/Gamegirl, Drop The Lime, Felix Cartal, Egyptrixx, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s DJ Set, Eli Escobar, Harvard Bass, Gant-Man, DJ Funk, Zombie Disco Squad, Dubbel Dutch, In Flagranti, Passion Pit DJ Set, Blaqstarr, Classixx, Larry Tee, Tommie Sunshine are just a few of the names to grace the LDL stage. Now second Fridays at Som Bar.
ABOUT BRODINSKI: Also known as Gucci Vamp, Brodinski is the most exciting DJ and producer to explode onto the scene in recent years. His taste in music is broad and this is reflected in his own productions and dj sets which may encompass noisy techno, bass heavy house through to more melodic minimal. His tracks are repped by the heavy hits like Soulwax, Tiga, Erol Alkan, A Trak, Busy P, and Switch. Brodinski has remixed artists like Bonde de Role, Klaxons, Das Pop, D.I.M and Heart Revolutions. Each remix has had a different approach, from the acidic (D.I.M), to vocal techno (Das Pop) to melancholic end-of-nighters (Klaxons). We here at LDL are ecstatic to bring Brodinski as he is one of our favorite DJ/Producers as his tracks are heard monthly at our party. Jack Beats said it best: "We've been DJing for the better part of ten years. We've played with hundreds of DJs, the biggest and the smallest. And in the nicest possible way... you kind of become numb to it all sometimes... to other DJs. Few make me excited any more. Then there's Brodinski."
ABOUT JIM-E-STACK: San Francisco born, New Orleans living, DJ/producer Jim-E Stack draws influence from UK funky to Mexico's 3ball, and house to pop, striving to create his own eclectic brand of club music. Jimmy has produced official remixes for the likes of NGUZUNGUZU, Damu, and Christoph Andersson, additonally playing alongside a wide range of acts, from Beach Fossils to Crookers. Jimmy is a great friend of ours and we are excited to have him play LDL before he gets too big for our party!
ABOUT SOSOSOON: Comprised of Joaquin Bartra and Ian Aronson, these local up and comers are making waves. This is their first time to DJ LDL so be sure to get up Som early to not only beat the lines but to catch these two guys throw down some jams that will be sure to get the party started.
