Temple Fridays presented by Rock It Science proudly presents Green Velvet, one of the world's biggest innovators of house and techno. RIS founder Eric Sharp will warm up the main room, while the Destiny Lounge is hosted by Opulent Temple welcoming Dex Stakker, Cosmic Selector & Billy Casazza. This is a night of incredible music that is definitely not to be missed!

Green Velvet (Relief, Cajual - Chicago)
Dance music legend Green Velvet continues to push the envelope, releasing recent collaborations with next generation artists Kid Sister ("Everybody Wants") and Santiago & Bushido ("Turn It Up") as well as preparing for some monstrous releases in the very near future.
Few artists have the ability to produce timeless music that can cross genre barriers and be enjoyed by listeners with diverse musical interests. Green Velvet is one of these few. Producing under the Green Velvet moniker as well as his alter ego Cajmere, Curtis A. Jones has released a steady stream of dance floor aimed tracks since 1991. His discography boasts many impressive contributions to dance music: Flash, Answering Machine, (It's Time For) The Percolator, La La Land, Shake & Pop and many others. Curtis' ear for great music put him at the forefront of two seminal labels in Chicago: Cajual Records and Relief Records. These labels hosted his original works as well as other renowned artists such as Armand Van Helden, DJ Sneak, Dajae, Johnny Fiasco, Roy Davis Jr., Mark Grant, Gene Farris and more. Green Velvet is usually found traveling across the globe to perform at festivals and huge clubs but August 6th he will make a rare West Coast appearance at Temple, playing a DJ set while singing some of his original works.
