Now living in San Francisco, via Brooklyn and Berlin, Dub Gabriel has been pushing bass music since the 90's, collaborating with a truly diverse roster of artists that range from the legendary Master Musicians of Jajouka to Michael Stipe. The last few years has seen him stepping out on the international live circuit with 2 tours of China and a constant stream of festival and club dates in Europe, Canada and the US. Over the past year he has dropped a widely embraced series of singles that feature vocals from U-Roy, MC Zulu and UK dubstep pioneer, The Spaceape (Kode 9/Burial) - his current single with The Spaceape titled "Is This Revolution" is a prescient and unrelenting commentary on the civil unrest that is unfolding in our streets.

Since the advent of the Micromoog, Hax has been foraging and


contributing to the soundscape of electronic music. Trained in


the wizardry of the mix, and schooled in the arts of production,


he has lent his talents to a broad swath of musicians and genres


over the years. After long periods in both Chicago and Los Angeles,


having moved through the soundscapes of Industrial and Dark


Downtempo, has now alighted upon San Francisco, where he can

FAT CHANCE BELLYDANCE


 


Fat Chance Bellydance is an internationally acclaimed bellydance company coming out of San Francisco that have developed the style known as American Tribal Style Bellydance. Directed by Caroleena Nerricco, the dancers use a lead and follow format which uses mostly improvosation. The dancers move in unison based on a set movement style and use cues, to create an original and authentic style. Fat Chance Bellydance has performed along side Cheb i Sabbah at many events over two decades and they have worked in close collaboration for the San Francisco scene. It is with great love and admiration of Cheb i Sabbah's work and compassion for the fight of his life that they donate this performance for his healing and well being.

JILL PARKER'S FOXGLOVED SWEETHEARTS


 


Jill Parker is the innovator of an aesthetic style called Tribal Fusion Bellydance that has since become a world wide phenomena. In the early part of Jill's solo dance career, she was a frequent performer with Cheb I Sabbah, making ground breaking performances and enlightening audiences with the beautiful combination of djs and dancers creating a very unique culture in San Francisco. These formative years were part of what helped emerge a whole scene for the world beat in the Bay Area, that had ripple effects over two decades.

Frédérique: The Lady Fred is an international performing belly dancer, artist, instructor, pioneer of the Tribal Fusion Style, and creator of Silent Sirens Theatre. She was born in Beirut, Lebanon, with her ethnicity rooted in Syrian, Armenian, French, and Italian. She began studying American Tribal Style Belly Dance (ATS) in February of 1997 with Amy 'Luna' then shortly after with director Jill Parker where she stayed until December of 1999 and left to create her own unique developed style, taking obscure and offbeat parts of expression and combining it with dance creating something particular unto herself and her own signature style.

Natalie is a highly trained dance artist that has taken great inspiration from the likes of Jill Parker and Miriam Peretz, she is among the next generation of tribal fusion and bellydance artist, combining the classical with the San Francisco underground, to continue the inspiration from the master dancers before her and pioneering the next movement in dance. Natalie Nayun fell in love with belly dance when she was 15 and has been dancing non-stop ever since. She has studied intensively with some of today’s top dance artists, notably; Ariellah, Mira Betz, Zoe Jakes, Tito Seif, and Miriam Peretz. Natalie is not only a well-known soloist, but is also a principal dancer in Deshret Dance Company directed by Ariellah, a principle dancer in the Zenotope Collective, and recently started Adhara Dance Company. She enjoys performing and studying many styles of dance, which gives her a well-rounded approach to the art form and and enables her to fuse many styles with grace and originality pioneering the next movement in belly dance. www.nayundance.com
