Alpha Pup NYC Presents returns to the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on Saturday, October 29 with performances by Free the Robots, Jonwayne and SHAD[]WB[]X.

Genre-defying artist Free the Robots pulls together devastating drums, progressive melodies and heavy doses of traditional jazz, psych, electronic and hip-hop into a rich pot of sound. His techniques create harmony between genres by blending of obscure samples with analog and digital compositions. Free the Robots’ newest release “The Mind’s Eye EP” is available now on Alpha Pup Records.

Also performing is one of Alpha Pup’s newest artists and a Low End Theory favorite, Jonwayne. With an undeniable ear for crafting catchy melodies, this young beatmaker’s sharp drops, deep kicks and heavy synths can be found in his most recent release The Death of Andrew (out October 25).

Joining him is SHAD[]WB[]X, aka Brooklyn local Bonnie Baxter, a mysterious producer and vocalist who performs live using a Korg EMX and VoiceLive Touch. She merges gritty electronics, brooding beats and her processed voice to create a unique and ominous sound.

With reinforced subharmonics and more special guests to be announced, Alpha Pup NYC takes place October 29 and every last Saturday of the month at the Knitting Factory, located at 361 Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn, New York from 12am to 4am. The show is all ages and tickets are available on the Knitting Factory website.
