Over $20,000 of cash and prizes will be awarded at Circus Hollywood on August 27 and 28 at the Freestyle Session, a B-boy/B-girl competition and celebration of the acrobatic hip hop dance style and breaker culture.
The best B-boys and B-girls breakers from all over the world will compete three against three in multiple battles for the $15,000 grand prize, with separate one-on-one competitions in Poppin’ and Lockin’. Freestyle Session culminates Sunday night with the announcement of the winners and closing ceremonies featuring special headline performances by DJ Premier vs. Pete Rock.
Legendary B-boys from crews like the Zulu Kings will judge the fierce battle dancing, and this event also features art exhibitions, hip hop vendors and additional music from local producers, including the Cypher Room with J. Rocc, DJ Nu-Mark, Free the Robots, Mono/Poly & more.
