Favorite ThisWick-it & Manic Focus collab on 'Sake Bomb,' tour midwest next week

This big time collab from Wick-it The Instigator and Manic Focus is exactly what I want out of track. A good groove to open it up, something you can vibe with that's chill and gets absorbed for what's to come.

There are samples sprinkled throughout "Sake Bomb" but one in particular that is ever so subtle but so poignant. That's the 1931 classic "Minnie the Moocher" by Cab Calloway with the famous lines, "Hidee hidee hidee hi, Hidee hidee hidee ho." If you've ever been to New Orleans you've heard the song 50 times on Bourbon Street. This is where the genius in the song lays. These two bass powerhouses incorporate legendary obscure songs to make one of the hardest beats I've heard all summer. The best part being that this sample occurs during the drop and boy does it hit like a ton of fucking bricks.

Writing this at my desk, I had to crank it and hit replay. It's one of those drops were you say "woooo!" out loud and then your face crunches up like you just stepped into a two week old port-o-potty. Catch the fearsome twosome as they rip across the midwest next week with dates in Kentucky and Tennessee!
