VCTRE - Die HappyThe live music scene ground to a halt, but that didn't knock Aaron Pugh off of his grind. He's been consistently treating all of the VCTRE subscribers on BandCamp to new and exciting tunes and sample packs, but now there's some new material for public consumption.

Die Happy was released last week to rave reviews from the entire underground bass scene. Pugh knocked out five massive tracks covering hip-hop, 140, halftime, and downtempo flavors across a myriad of other styles. Opener “Seasons” started things on a chill note, which stepped off a cliff into the cacophonous title track, and gave way to “Fingernailed” and its dizzying drops. “Treacherous” and “Falling Up” also remained as tough as an old catcher's mitt to round out the EP on a lip-curling snarl.

With any luck, we'll be able to welcome VCTRE back to The Untz Festival in summer 2021. Pray that these vaccines get circulated faster than the PS5 and we can get our live music grind back on.
