Urbanstep’s newest track “Battlefield” is the most substantial and melodic track I’ve heard from Yuri Grauberger and Aidan Rypens, to date. The track opens with a guitar solo that could possibly trick you into thinking its going to be an indie-rock jam, then quickly drops and adds in synth and bass, while keeping the same attractive melody that the guitar kicked off. There are several layers added to this track by the time it reaches mid-point, including a haunting choir in the background. The tempo reaches a heart-pounding rate to create a dramatic feel as well. This track definitely belongs on a soundtrack, because of the epic atmosphere it creates.
