4. Yheti

One of our favorite Weird Bass acts got some heavy heat this year, opening up Halloween with Bassnectar, and just recently announcing some 2016 dates with The Untz Top 10 Breakout alum G Jones. You can't really top Yheti on the weird tip.

3. Marshmello

The man behind the marshmallow mask remains a mystery, but what we know for sure is this breakout sensation got a huge boost from Skrillex (as well as many elite members of the EDM glitterati) for giant remixes that racked up millions of plays. We have our suspicions about who it is, but at the end of the day, who cares--it's great music.

2. Big Wild

Jackson Stell released one of the biggest songs of the year on Odesza's Foreign Family Collective, but then followed it up with solid catalog contributions and a party-time live show. There's no slowing down for him in 2016.
