The Together Festival is excited to announce the complete schedule of daytime and nighttime events taking place all over Boston April 18-24. Starting with an opening party on Monday April 18th with techno guru Pantha Du Prince and finishing up with a special closing party Monday, April 25th with the Boston debut of Danish music producer Trentemøller Live. Other Together showcases include BBC Radio 1 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs, and DJ Switch of Major Lazer.
With more than 35 evening events happening in venues spread out around the city, there is also a four day series of daytime panels taking place at Northeastern University and MassArt. Taking over rooms at both esteemed schools, the local music, art and technology scene will gather to discuss the topics of the day. From Tuesday through Friday, artists, DJs, writers, business owners and members of the community will appear at daytime panels to discuss trending topics in the electronic music scene while local technology companies, including Izotope and Mixxx.org offer software demonstrations in their latest products.
The Together Festival's signature daytime event, the Get Together, will take place Saturday, April 23. In partnership with Boston Cyberarts, the six-hour expo will feature trade shows and expos, art exhibits, fashion shows, and a vinyl record fair. All of this is capped off with a performance from Boston’s energetic beat artisans of style and substance, the one and only SPF-5000. The fair will be begin at noon and will run in MassArt’s Pozen Center until 6:00pm.
Other events for the week include free DJ Seminars taking place on Thursday and Friday, hosted by Bristol Studios and Dubspot. These will be artist led seminars introducing the latest technologies for aspiring artisans. Dubspot has become the premiere online destination for new producers and is at the vanguard of electronic music production.
Monday through Friday, from 5pm to 8pm, the Boston Herald Lounge presented by Live @ Best Buy.com will also present streaming DJ sets and live show from its location at Newbury St. and Mass Ave. Featuring Boston legends and visiting acts, these performances will be streamed throughout the world.
