BoomBox, composed of producers, DJs, songwriters, multi-instrumentalists and longtime friends Russ Randolph and Zion Rock Godchaux, officially release the previously unrecorded single "Me and My Baby" coupled with a video filmed at their sold out Aggie Theatre show in Fort Collins, CO in October as a The Untz exclusive. The video footage includes both the live performance and interviews about life on the road, BoomBox's current sound and direction and their forthcoming release 'Lost Ya'.

If there's one thing Zion Godchaux and Russ Randolph know, it's funk. They ride that powerful backbeat straight out of Muscle Shoals into your eardrums and rattle around on bouncy synths and bubbling bass. The nu-disco of BoomBox splits the difference between psychedelic jam and the feel-good vibe of house. "Me and My Baby," recorded at the historic Aggie Theatre in beautiful Ft. Collins, CO captures the cool breeze that is the guitar-producer duo, right down to the squeals of delight from the pulsing audience. On top of the solid groove of the track, the accompanying video (produced by NoCoast.TV) sheds light on the band's evolution during its endless weeks and months on the road. Randolph and Godchaux are simply effervescent on stage, but their insights reveal the work and dedication that brings the party to life. There are no harsh computer tones, no cold, synthetic rhythms; the live energy of the track will jump right off your screen.

BoomBox Winter Tour...
Additionally while BoomBox finishes up their 'Dark End of the Street' tour this week with final stops in Columbia, Tulsa, Lawrence and Fayetteville, they also released a new website with an online store as well as announce their first dates of 2012 including West Coast and South East runs with guests Eliot Lipp, ill-esha, Govinda, Bitch Please and others.
