The Untz is pleased to report The Bounce Festival is coming up in less than a week in Twain, CA - an area of Northern California’s Feather River Valley. The Bounce has partnered with promoter Fresh Bakin’ to put on a four day event June 20-24 for music and art lovers from all walks of life.

This year, the festival features a new, private location and a lineup of intriguing musicians and artists. We’re talking Beats Antique, GRiZ, Ana Sia, Break Science, Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation, BoomBox, Wick-It The Instigator, and more. There will also be unique visual art ranging from painting, sculptures, photography, multimedia, and light installations, as well as comedy acts.

A grassroots community of music and art lovers, The Bounce originated in the Lake Tahoe area and is comprised of influencers from all over the country. The goal - expose audiences to quality production, up and coming talent, and innovative, internationally recognized music. The organizers of The Bounce Festival also consider the attendees themselves to be contributors to the experience, with everything culminating into an outburst of creativity and expression.

Tickets

General Admission passes are currently $160.00 (will be $180.00 at the gate) and provide access to camping and music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 21-24. With this pass, camping is not available next to your vehicle. Should you wish to camp next to their car, a Car Camping pass is available for $60.00. RV passes are available (there are no electricity or water hookups) for $300.00 per vehicle.

Don’t want to arrive on Friday and get stuck in line? The Bounce offers Early Entry passes for $50.00, which allows you to enter the grounds on Thursday and set up camp. There will be pre-party music on the Grand Artique Stage on Thursday night.

Stages and Vending

There are three stages - The Grand Artique Stage in the heart of the cozy Bounce vendor village, the Beach Stage, and the Forest Stage. A variety of vendors feature art and crafts, festival gear, unique fashion, tasty food, and even a saloon. ATMs will be available onsite.

The Feather River that flows along the festival grounds is accessible for all attendees to swim, float, kayak, etc. The river winds through the property and the Swimming Hole at the east side of the grounds. There are free water stations throughout the festival site where you can fill your jug or bottle. Real showers and bathrooms are not available within the festival, however porta-potties will be readily available onsite and solar showers are permitted.

Sustainability/Environmental Awareness
The Bounce is being held in a beautifully preserved and untouched region in the Sierra Mountain Range. Greening initiatives are a priority. The Green Team looks to maximize landfill diversion and resource recovery through efforts such as collecting and sorting discarded materials, keeping the area clean and free of litter, and making recycling easy and understandable to the crowd. Vendors are required to use compostable products.

Get Involved

The Bounce features a grant program, BounceARTS, which allows selected artist applicants to receive grants toward their work. The recipients use this money to develop and install unique and interactive art that is displayed at the festival. Outside of the BounceARTS program all artists are welcome to bring their works and are encouraged to share and contribute to the creative community that is The Bounce.

In 2013, the festival has found inspiration in the California spotted owl population and has deemed it a mascot of sorts. The event website elaborates, “This year, The Bounce looks to the owls and emulates their behavior as we touch down with temporal grace and consciousness in our new environmentin Twain. We, like our animal neighbors, touch down on the banks of the Feather River...taking with us the experiences, sights, sounds and connections that enrich our bodies and spirits until next year.”
