It is the perfect time to be part of a five-day long extravaganza focused on transformation, understanding, and making an impact on the world. Oh yeah, and STS9, Shpongle DJ set, Emancipator, Russ Liquid, Random Rab, RL Grime, G Jones, Love and Light, Michal Menert, and a slew of incredible musicians to blow your mind on top of it. Experience
Wander the grounds that will be filled with mythic structures, mindblowing art installations, and visionary decor nestled in the beauty of west coast nature. Craft your perfect day and attend workshops that pique your interest such as conservation, stargazing, the future of humanity, yoga, improv, mushroom science, and many more. All are taught by luminaries from around the world - radio hosts, poets, comedians, presenters, scientists, and educators.

A standout festivity is the Edwardian Ball. This institution from the San Fran and LA areas are a collection of theatrical entertainers putting on their first festival roadshow that will feature music, circus acts, aerial acrobatics, offbeat fashion and “ballroom” dancing. Think past meets future; beautifully bizarre gothic steampunk with dirty electro swing and visits by an avante-cabaret troupe, exotic machinery, and elaborate fashion show.

Get to know the artists before the event with the Symbiosis Music Compilation, a three-volume mix. Speaking of - Random Rab is known in the festival community for his legendary sunrise sets at Burning Man, Sonic Bloom, previous Symbiosis Gatherings, and many other festivals. The self-proclaimed “sexy and psychedelic” producer hits the stage at 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning...be there or be square.

Sustainability/Environmental Awareness
Symbiosis has positioned itself as a pioneer in setting the standard for greening initiatives, bringing them to the forefront of the festival experience. Having environmental awareness weaved into the theme makes it more interactive, rather than something an event does because it “should.”

Some initiatives include a reusable dish program in the dining area, procuring environmentally friendly sources of energy and materials, a zero waste policy, and sustainability education through workshops and activities.

As Kevin KoChen of Symbiosis Events described it, “The gathering provides a temporary home where people can celebrate, dance, and be entertained in an ecologically responsible manner.” Word to you Mother (Earth, that is).

Symbiosis is helping pave the way for festival culture. Festivals are not about getting f*cked up out of your mind for a few days. They are an opportunity to grow as a person, experience art, music and culture,  and question your beliefs and who you are and who you want to become. Follow us moon children down the rabbit hole of rejuvenation at Symbiosis Gathering.
