Last week, Boulder trio SunSquabi unleashed "Thunder," the title track to their forthcoming EP which is coming soon. Before delivering a blazing set opening for The Werks and Zoogma this past weekend in Denver, the three-piece posted the cut which demonstrates a remarkably progressive sound for the guys.

Sonically, the structure of the sound is incredibly patient and mature, delicately building a foundation for some outstanding guitar work and a frantic finish. From a musical perspective, you can tell Kevin Donohue, Andrew Clymer, and Chris Anderson are breaking into some exciting new territory. The band hits the southeast for the next two weeks before heading into Texas for a healthy run in the middle of the month.
