It's been a long time coming, but after two years, the latest SunSquabi record is complete. The Boulder boys have been banging away on three-part album, releasing Fundamental Interaction in three, physics-filled EPs: Nuclear Force, Magnetism, and Super Gravity. Now the trifecta is complete, and we've got the third part locked into the first two.
"Phobos" has a decidedly PLM feel, with really subtle samples and guitar licks interspered with hissing record scratches and hip-hop undercurrents. "Bacon and Cheese," what can you say about a combo as old as time? The combo here works just right; a slow burn descending quickly into double-time madness. You can hear the development of SunSquabi's sound over the past couple of years, which have recorded some of the quickest evolutions in electronic/dance music in known history.
