Year two of Wisconsin’s premier music and camping festival has arrived. Last year’s lineup turned a lot of heads and now Summer Set is primed to take things to another level this weekend (Aug 9-11) in Somerset, WI. Festival hosts React, Sound In Motion and Majestic Live have gone back to the drawing board and made some changes to the venue. The three stage set up is still around from last year, but the EDM arena has been replaced by the outdoor “Grove Stage” that joins the main stage, the Somerset Amphitheater, and the Saloon Stage which will host more diverse acts. The Grove Stage will be the site of the highly anticipated after parties instead of in the EDM arena where they were a year ago.

With all the incredible talent on the bill, we thought it was up to us to compile a list of the "must sees" at this year's festival. Between all the incredible hip-hop and indie music, there are a truckload of talented DJ's, producers, and dance music artists you're not going to want to miss. This is by no means an exhaustive list, just what we think is the right move.

Summer Set After PartiesAfter Parties:

Friday night’s afties consist of a special collaboration of musicians from Big Gigantic, Disco Biscuits, Consipirator, and the Underground Orchestra called Gigantic Underground Conspiracy. Those lucky enough to have been at Summer Camp in the past few years know about the aftie hype this act has to offer.

Saturday night will bring something truly original, and just a bit mind-blowing. The notorious “live, all improvised nothing preconceived” electronic act EOTO or End Of Time Observatory, will in fact be bringing their “Lotus” 3D mapping stage design. If you haven’t heard of it before check it out, it may just come alive.

Our expectations were certainly exceeded last year, especially with it being the inaugural event and the kinks that are to be expected with that. Now with the validation last year provided them, we are looking forward to seeing the changes they made and where the festival goes. It seems obvious that Summer Set Volume II will be nuts, packed as it is with energetic acts and genuine midwest vibes. See you this weekend!
