For the better part of the last two years, Robotic Pirate Monkey has been traveling around the country, playing venues a small as a basement and as big as Red Rocks. The trio consisting Andrew Hathaway, Matt Berryhill, and Matt Flesher are currently winding down a summer full of festivals sets. In the meantime, RPM has released a remix package for Heat.wav, the EP that started their rise to notoriety.

The remix EP, Re.Heated, features at least two reimagined versions of each song from the original, save "Shake and Bake." There are no repeated producers on this project; which allows for an extremely diverse sound, since there are a total of 16 DJ/producers making contributions. There is a sound for everyone. “Banana Cannon” gets a grimey, glitched-out makeover at the hands of Cloud-D.  Don’t like that version? Go to the next track and check out Jimmy Burns' trap vision of the song.

Our personal favorite tracks are the pair of “Burn” remixes at the end of the album. Muzzy and TYR are at their best over the funky guitar chords that made the original version so amazing. Catch RPM at Shambala in Salmo, BC and Kaleidoscope in Oregon.
