Midwest meets east coast meets far east, and the meeting takes place Down Under. Spankalicious remixed SOOHAN, and the results are magnificent.

When we first caught wind of Soohan's breathtaking Made in Baltimore album, last month, the opener "Super Heady Spiritual Gangster" made us think of Spanky. Hell, it could have been named after Spanky. So we were delighted to see that not only was Kevin Moore super familiar with the album, he was already working on a remix!

If Moore wasn't a world class drumline performer, there'd be no way he could pull of these polyrhythms. There's so much going on in this remix, and bounces back and forth between all sorts of feels: from straight up tribal trance to psytrap, with that psychedelic bounce of Spank's well intact.

Spankalicious has a stacked month, playing an official Gem & Jam afer party in Tucson, AZ this weekend, followed by the Winter Warmer up in Wisconsin on February 13th, the 5exy Party with Gramatik in Minneapolis on Valentine's Day, and a three-night run with G Jones in March that leads up to the one-year anniversary of his ThazDope Records label. Soohan will play his hometown of Baltimore with Kalya Scintilla on February 19th. We've got your tickets for that one right here.
