Austin, TX-based producer Mark Rubin has found himself a home with the Shanti Planti collective. The perfect home for the squishy, downtempo, and psychedelic glitch artiste, the new Somatoast album Tiny Things is slated for a December 15th release via the UK label.

Today's premiere of the EP's title track takes us deep underground, where the drips and drops of condensation pool on the cool stone floor beneath crystalized stalactites of every crispy color. Rubin's sound design immediately evokes that of Tipper or Bluetech, but beyond obvious comparisons, you see there's a lot of fun being had here. As irreverent as it is seriously constructed, the overall vibe is that of grin-your-ass-off-and-dance versus a more somber flow experience.

The message being, it's OK to be silly with sound.

With the release of Tiny Things early next week, we're hoping to see much more of Somatoast outside of ATX, as he and the rest of his Majestic Entertainment crew continue to tour and plan the quickly approaching festival season.
