Phil Hartnoll had no idea what the electronic music scene in 2012 would look like. When he and his brother Paul decided to hang up the Orbital brand back in 2004, the status of EDM was in the toilet, and the pair were uninspired to continue producing music. Half a decade later, when they were asked to put on a reunion show for the Big Chill in the UK, the industry had completely turned itself around. Now a couple years on, the brothers turned the reunion show into a total comeback, releasing their first album, Wonky, in more than 5 years, and touring the west coast in the United States for the first time since 2001.

Orbital will be headlining the progressive electronic music fest Decibel Festival in Seattle on Thursday, September 27th. Other acts on DBfest include Shpongle, MiM0SA, Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Carl Craig, and so many more. Tickets and information on the web at dbfestival.com.
