Favorite ThisOPIUO slips on 'Sneakers' for his first single from Omniversal [Slurp]

Like an electronic love creature, I have been pleasuring my eardrums and smiling like a madman all night to the track "Sneakers," the much-welcomed and most proper taste from OPIUO’s latest and soon-to-be released album, OMNIVERSAL.

OPIUOAustralia represents home base and the launch pad for the funk-fueled, glitchy, and hard-powered bass dance exploration that ensues when you crank this rad jam or are lucky enough to witness an OPIUO (Oscar Davey-Wraight) show. When he isn’t playing solo you might be lucky enough to catch him alongside his ensemble. In fact, The Opiuo Band is hitting SONIC BLOOM this summer in Colorado.

OPIUO has such a grand international presence and stage that he is constantly touring and exploring much more than the east coast of Australia or the outback. Like clockwork, whenever I hear one of his tunes or remixes I cannot help to dance hard as fuck. Like super fucking hard.

Listening to "Sneakers," I imagine myself at a playful, peaceful, and consciousness-based dance party in Australia’s brush alongside fire dancers, hula hoops, an intense sweat ridden group of beautiful people, and a sea of smiley folk all dialed in and dancing their asses off on our planet earth and into the awaiting OMNIVERSAL ocean. In fact, those Aussie fans get a big fat load of tour dates before us here in the States. Jelly!
