Opal-IteYoung Niko Pappas has found himself quite the crew with whom to run. Chumming around with Calvin Hobbes, Benoit, and more as part of the Forward Momentum Collective, the Colorado mountain man known as, Opal-Ite, has waded his way into the underground bass talent pool and is making a splash.

Today we premiere, “Kala,” which is right in line with his work, to date. Pappas' heavy bass sound mixed with middle eastern elements is exactly what you can expect to find amongst the studio efforts in his catalog. It's powerful, it's dangerous, and it'll bring the ruckus in any DJ set with its patient build and explosive drop.

You can catch Opal-Ite this summer in Michigan as part of Boredomfest, coming at the end of May to Elderberry Farms with Downlink, Jantsen B2B Dirt Monkey, Toadface, The Widdler, Supersillyus, and more.
