Niko The KidWith acts like JAUZ and Ephwurd championing the bass house movement, which mixes the sounds of house (some say deep house, but we're not going to get into a game of semantics) with the sonic aesthetics of wobbly dubstep drops, we're starting to see more and more of the interplay between producers and DJs here in the States and across the Atlantic.

Legendary club night The Fat! Club and its associated Fat! Recordings label drop the remix pack for Taim's "Blackout Blinds" featuring the punchy vocals of Madi Lane tomorrow (January 29), and amongst its reworkings from Dosage and Litek is this powerful romp from Niko The Kid. The Atlantan puts a heavy subsonic coating on the Brit's original, making this infectious drop even more addicting. Try getting this one out of your head. Expect to hear more in the way of this growing sound from producers all over the map, and across the genre spectrum.

Pre-order the "Blackout Blinds" remix pack from iTunes!
