Favorite ThisMindelixir Presents Bass Church 17, Free Remix EP

Published: October 27, 2011

Bill Schimel probably sleeps around 14 minutes a day. If that. Between producing, booking his crew and running their publicity, and promoting some of the biggest shows in the southeast, Mindelixir isn't afforded the simple luxuries of eating, drinking, or using the bathroom. His latest endeavor, Bass Church 17, is the latest installment of his bombastic regional bass-laden events which brings together the best and brightest in today's EDM scene. Taking over The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC tomrrow night (Oct. 28th), the Halloween edition of Bass Church is bringing one of the nastiest producers around to his holy altar of wobble: NastyNasty. Joining him for a night of ghoulish entertainment is the aptly named Spooky Jones, as well as Stereotonin, John Hairston, Jr., and some special guests.

On top of his bass celebration, Mindelixir just released a free remix EP featuring Jones, Fast Nasty, and himself. The trio take on vastly different source material. Jones takes a hack at Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now," taking Busta and Weezy into orbit. Mindelixir himself adds his signature psychedelic glitchery to the Temptations, while Fast Nasty excercises his abilities with... Beavis & Butthead? Uhhhhhh... what? Yeah, dude. At least Schimel doesn't need T.P. for his bunghole. He's too busy for that.
