With our announcement this week of the Phase 1 lineup for The Untz Festival, which hits Mariposa County Fairgrounds in Mariposa, CA from June 2-4, 2016, we got a ton of positive feedback about the diversity of the bill. Well diversity is the name of the game for music fans like us, who shirk anything too mainstream, and get positively antsy if a night of programming is too one-note.
Keeping that in mind, we made sure our lineup for The Untz Festival was as trippy, funky, heavy, and beautiful as we could make it, all while honoring the incredible artists we've had the pleasure of working with over the past six years in this business. We think we hit as many genres, sounds, and styles as we could, and we think you'll agree.
Tickling our taste for psychedelic bass, we were able to round up some of the best in the industry in Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla & Eve Olution, Kaminanda, and Sixis. They're able to go super downtempo, tribal trance, squishy glitch, and world bass all within a single set. If it's straight up slamming music you want, look no further than Wick-it The Instigator, who also knows how to get funky. Mr. Bill and SugarBeats will keep things glitchy, Marvel Years and Bass Physics provide that smooth electro-soul, and Evanoff will shred on guitar. Don't forget about that melodic bass block of Illenium, Fractal, Siren, and Said The Sky.
Make sure to familiarize yourself with the artists on our lineup, because we're never going to go with unoriginal acts or tired sounds. If you haven't heard of an artist, it's because you haven't gone deep enough. Dive in to our sonic spread, and get learnt before you get turnt. That's how it works.
