Liquid Stranger insta postFor months we were sitting on a secret that was growing harder and harder to keep under wraps. Then a week ago we were finally able to reveal that not only did we go full-out, balls-to-the-walls undergroun bass with our lineup, but one of our all-time favorites, Liquid Stranger, would be headlining The Untz Festival. He went so far as to post the friggin' nicest thing in the world on his Instagram, so it goes without saying that we're just in awe of Martin Stääf right now.

Another Monday comes around, and we've got yet another reason to be over the moon. Throwing down some of what Stääf's calling ‘free form bass,’ the latest Liquid Stranger tune, “Hotbox” is a fearsome, flexible, and filthy example of just what he does best. There are plenty of throwback wobbles and some hype mic tactics from MC Shells. This is just the kick in the ass our Monday needed.

This tune is a teaser for the Weird and Wonderful EP, which shares a name with his last tour, and is slated to drop in January on his Wakaan label. We've got half the Wakaan roster on our lineup, with Space Jesus, Shlump, and more, so you can bet we're not just looking forward to January—we've got June on our minds, already.
