Jimkata unveils sunny new jam, Feel In Light out March 4

"Beat the Curse" will help you beat the cold. Electro-rock act Jimkata out of Ithaca, NY yesterday unleashed a sunny single from its forthcoming album, Feel In Light, slated for a March 4 release. The Passion-Pit-meets-RAC ode to joy will be running around your head all day with its glittering synths with a reverb-soaked wash of sound that feels more like the beach than the snow-flooded gorges of the band's hometown. Evan Friedell's poignant vocals soar over a catchy chorus and an addictive melody line that bathes the cut in warmth.
The four-piece hits the road in February, dodging in and out of the northeast, southeast, and midwest, with a brief respite from the cold at AURA Music Festival in Live Oak, FL on Feburary 15. Then it's back to the frigid spots for a spring-long road that will only help serve to separate Jimkata's golden wheat from the northeast jam chaff. Come early March, we'll all be basking in the Light.
