Since December of 2015, ShadowTrix Music has been assembling giant compilations of the best in west coast and underground bass. Coming tomorrow, November 5, ShadowTrix returns with the fourth installment in its now legendary Shadows series.
Shadows: Volume Four contains 25 tracks featuring 33 groundbreaking artists. Over the years, STM compilations have introduced newcomers like Digital Ethos, PartyWave, Ethan Glass, Alexandre, Contra Scandal, and more to clamoring fans across the nation. Many of those artists have gone on to play the ShadowTrix stage at The Untz Festival since its inception in 2017.
This year's compilation inclues ST4RFOX, BOA & Dropical, and today's featured artist, Hullabalo0. Andrew Bryant made his UNTZ debut this summer, and has consistently been a favorite of our feed for years. Bryant's all over the place, most recently making super heavy bass with Mr. Bill on his Wub EP, and also crafting gorgeous piano compositions, as he's a classically trained pianist. On Shadows: Volume Four, Bryant returns to his glitchy roots with “Ghost Rider,” which fuses intricate interludes with groove-heavy bass.
These compilations are always a bright spot in our year, and give us an idea of who is on the come up in the underground bass realm. It's a glimpse into the next 18 months of low end trenders.
