Our first taste of the forthcoming Decadence album from worldtronica legend Govinda comes in the form of stunning live video shot at Shane Madden's home club: The Parish in Austin, TX.
Fusing world music, contemporary electronic flavors, and gyspy fiddle to create a sonic stew of east-meets-west beats and bass, Madden has become a fixture on the transformational circuit, and has even crossed over onto more mainstream electronic events. Criss-crossing the country with his new stage show, Govinda has amassed a loyal following who know a dance party has arrived everytime his entourage rolls into town.
"Beautiful Mystery" is the first audio and visual glimpse we get from the new album, which is slated for a release in late 2015 or early 2016. Following Resonance and Luminance, this new album sees Madden's sound reach into unexplored territories. Recorded live at his last sold out event in his home town, we see his lovely performer Jordan Proper glide and weave in team with the sultry sounds of Shane Madden. Fans outside of Texas will clamor to get a preview of what's to come when Govinda hits their neighborhood all through this fall.
Govinda will be in Portland, OR this Friday (October 2) at Branx, Zanzibar in Santa Monica, CA mid-week next week, and plays Desert Blossom, SONIC BLOOM's southern cousin, in Taos, NM on October 10 at Taos Mesa Brewery with Andreilien and Janover & reSunator.
