Today, powerhouse Evanoff announces its massive Welcome to Dream Rock Tour, which covers huge swaths of the band's home state of Colorado, and has stops around the southwest, as well, this winter.
The threesome kicks off its tour with its biggest Boulder show, yet: a November 7 apperance at Boulder Theater with The Werks and Twiddle as part of the Twerk Tour.
From there, the three-piece has dates in Denver, Durango, Frisco, Winter Park, and more CO stops. They also hit The Green Room in Flagstaff, as well as the incredible Taos Mesa Brewery in El Prado, NM. The run lasts will into January, bringing hot tunes to cold cities.
Singlehandedly attempting to create a brand new sound from the ground up, Evanoff crafts what has come to be called Dream Rock, an amalgam of contemporary electronic and dance music sounds fused with the foundations of classic rock.
Drummer Jake Hall, bassist Parker Oberholzer, and guitarist JJ Evanoff are using what acts like STS9 and Lotus have started, and climb further down the rabbit hole towards a truly rocking dance music sound.
To that end, the furiously head-banging "Revel" gives fans a true taste of the power of this trio. Funky slap bass, controlled drum licks, and some serious shredding from Evanoff, himself, add classic textures and trump boring livetronica in a single bound. If Hendrix stuck around long enough to mess around with dance music, we think it'd sound kinda like this.
Catch Evanoff on tour in the southwest this winter, and remember: these guys will be on The Untz Festival, enjoying its inaugural event June 2-4, 2016 at Mariposa County Fairgrounds in Mariposa, CA. Keep on rockin', gentlemen. We'll see you in June.
