It is with a heavy heart we announce that one of the four members of Dirtyphonics, Thomas Desbouvrie, is leaving the group. On a post yesterday on the Dirtyphonics Facebook page, the group tells of all the good times and memories that Thomas will leave behind.

After spending 10 years devoting all of his time to music, Thomas (now going by the pseudonym Matheo de Bruvisso), will be focusing on his art. During the formative years of the group, Thomas worked as a freelance designer for many distinguished companies, including Swarovski and Peugeot. However, the sudden and astonishing success of the group forced him to commit his resources full-time to music.

From the words of the man himself, "My love for art, and for painting in particular, has never ceased. I feel now like diving heart and soul into it, and with as much involvement as with Dirtyphonics. This is the next step for me, painter!"

I have seen Dirtyphonics only once before, and it was one of the #DIRTYest shows that I've ever had the pleasure of attending. I will be seeing them again in February supporting Excision on his new tour, but there will definitely be the feeling that someone is missing.

We wish you all the best, Matheo.
