For someone so devoted to Denver dubstep, Patrick Megeath is sounding particularly peachy in the complextro department. The Boulder native, who goes by Dirt Monkey, previewed a new track due out on Reid Speed's Play Me Records. "Hurt So Good" enlists the powerful vox of singer-songwriter Anna Yvette, who has made a strong push into the EDM scene in a big way. It's no secret artists want to capture her crystal clear voice built specifically for hooky verses. "Hurt" combines sweet and savory with a distinct flavor of darkness as the drop descends into the dirty depths. A wicked rollercoaster of sugar and spice, the track is bound to be remixed by a slew of Dirt Monkey compatriots including Ishe, MSD, Point.Blank, and more. At a little under two-minutes, this preview amounts to a 50's schoolgirl coquettishly hiking her poodle skirt above her knee. Let's get to it already!
