Favorite ThisBroad Ripple Music Fest this weekend with ill-esha, Loyal Divide

Published: October 11, 2011

For the second year in a row, a festival primarily known for its indie artists, the annual Broad Ripple Music Fest, will be holding its electronic showcase at The Mousetrap in Indianapolis. The promotors of the event, IndyMojo, have been successfully running a weekly (Altered Thurzdaze) for more than a year, which has brought some formidable talent of late, including Infected Mushroom, Eliot Lipp and Samples, and this weeks' Untz Podcast guest Crizzly.

brmfThis year, IndyMojo is going all out during its Mousetrap-tronica showcase, bringing in DJ'ing talent and livetronica acts from around the Midwest and beyond, including Chicago's Loyal Divide, Muncie's Eumatik, and Canada's dubstep and glitch queen ill-esha in the headlining spot. Both ill-esha and LD are coming off of big releases. In August, ill-esha released Reverie on the ever-popular Simplify label, and just last week, Loyal Divide released their debut full-length Bodice Ripper on Kilo (read the review here). In addition to these artists representing vastly different areas of electronic music, there will be plenty of up-and-comers like Topspeed, Hollowpoint, and Magnetic, and later this week, we'll feature a DJ Tech product review with another BRMF performer Shy Guy Says. Find the event online at IndyMojo.com, or visit Facebook for more details.
