It's no secret that one of the best teams in the psybass world is Birds of Paradise. Production wizards Torin Goodnight (Bird of Prey) and Tyler Gibson have been pioneers of the midtempo and psybreaks sound championed by so many of our favorite artists in the transformational scene. Blending stunning melodies with heavy bass and an island flair into their own brand of SubTropical Fusion, Birds of Paradise have always been on the bleeding edge of technological advances in bass music.
Today we premiere the lead tune from the duo's brand new EP, Riding the Froth, out March 9 on Addictech Records. Teaming up with the legendary ambient producer, Robert Rich, the result is an enveloping, engaging, and entrancing tune that sucks you into the speakers. "Aural Reef" is audio mastery at its finest, with all the bells and whistles we love from Birds of Paradise.
Birds of Paradise just played Israel, and are headed to Panama next for Tribal Gathering this weekend. There's Kinnection on the calendar, as well, for late May out in Asheville, NC, and more domestic and international festivals and club dates on the horizon for 2016.
