Since The Untz played in instrumental role in the budding bromance between Monstercat and Astronaut, we were able to snag an exclusive interview with Ross and Dan to discuss the bands huge signing, forthcoming releases, and what it means to join such a powerful team.

Congratulations! You just signed with Monstercat Records! What's the story behind the move and what inspired this?

Thanks! The last week has been a bit of a blur for us both as everything seemed to fall into place really fast. They got in contact with us expressing how much they loved Astronaut and that they thought it was great that we were trying to create something that was more than just music. We feel like Mike and the team understand how important it is for us to be creating our animation series that goes hand in hand with the music too. So, we're really stoked to have such a forward thinking team behind us now...2014 is going to be a great year for us and the new family!

Sounds exciting! What can we expect from you in the future now? Have any of your plans changed?

We're now going to be re-releasing our first single 'Apollo' on Monstercat along with some remixes on December 9th. Then, our Quantum EP drops as a co-release between Monstercat and Disciple In January as well as the next animated music video which you can see on the UKF Music youtube channel on the same day. We'll be hosting another remix competition soon whilst we're back hard at work in the studio working on the follow up music video and music release. Next year you can also expect some great collaborations and remixes with some great artists including Calvertron, Dodge & Fuski, MitiS, and of course, our boys 'Barely Alive'!
