Antiserum & 12th Planet - Bass Salt

This track will eat your face. Antiserum and 12th Planet joined forces for the new compilation album SMOG CITY forthcoming on the latter's SMOG label. "Bass Salt" is a trap and dubstep hybrid that hits as hard as you'd expect from two pillars of the bass community. Crunk and Houston-influenced snares and hats give way to a blistering drop accompanied by a really catchy, almost anthemic melody. The cut, which opens up the 9-track LP, embraces the leaps and bounds made in bass music over the past few months. Today's scene is in such flux, it is absolutely vital that these two producers were able to capture the sound of today. SMOG, which is home to vanguard acts like Noah D, SPL, Djunya, and more will begin pre-sales of the comp on October 16th, and the full digital release will be out at the end of the month (Oct. 30).
