Sam Adams w/ LA Riots @ La Zona Rosa

When 2010 came around Sam Adams started the year as a senior at Trinity College, juggling his responsibilities as a student, captain of the school’s soccer team and his hobby turned profession as a recording artist. At the beginning of March, 1st Round Records digitally released Boston’s Boy, the self-produced debut EP from Sam Adams. Initially meant to be an eight song preview to a full length album coming later in the year, Boston’s Boy took over the iTunes charts without any kind of traditional radio or promotional campaign, landing at #1 on the Hip-Hop charts and #2 overall. As a further testament to Adams online popularity, when the video for the EP’s first single, “Driving Me Crazy” leaked online, it received well over 1 million hits in less than 24 hours.
