ReBiRtH will be the cosmic one year anniversary celebration of Vúdoo
Productions. For over a year, we have been bringing stellar electronic
music events to the capital region, and this upcoming party will prove
to be a culmination of all the magical elements that have become
trademarks of the Vúdoo events.
The Irish Mist will be transformed into a wonderland with the amazing
deco art of Nephilnine (in coordination with Fractaltribe
and Hole Tribe). In addition to the fantastic deco art, there will be
wild visual projections, UV body painting, rejuvenating massages and
maybe even some fire performances…
There will be two rooms of music, the Cosmic Stage and the Vúdoo
Lounge. The Vúdoo Lounge will feature some great local artists who
will be spinning various genres, including Tech-House, Glitch-Hop,
Dub-step, Electro, and Drum and Bass.
The Cosmic Stage will feature Psytrance and Psychedelic Techno. On
that stage will be the one and only, Nigel Richards!! A “legend” in
the electronic music scene, Nigel (of Philadelphia) is the owner and
creator of 611 records and has headlined the Silent Disco at Camp
Bisco for the past two years. The Cosmic Stage will also feature the
amazing Ekoplex, producer from Toronto, among some other fantastic
DJ’s (local and out of Boston).
Since it will be the season for giving, for this event we would like to give back to the community by having a food drive in coordination with the Northeast Regional Food Bank. If you remember to bring non-perishable food items, you will be rewarded with a reduced entry fee (details to come).
Also, Black and White Taxi will be working with us to provide special
reduced price cab fare for anyone who attends this event. So, you have
them to rely on for a ride to and from the event (details to come).
The time has come for the RBiRtH (Reincarnation, Revival)...the
Reincarnation of the incredible Vúdoo Productions electronic dance
events of the past (the soul) in an absolutely beautiful new venue
(the new body)…and the Revival of all of the positive vibes and fun
times that are characteristic of each and every Vúdoo event….so be
ready with your dancing shoes on…

Nigel Richards is an internationally-recognized DJ, producer, and entrepreneur known for his unique music style and contributions to the dance music industry.
Richards discovered his passion for dance music during his undergraduate days at the University of Rochester in New York. There, he hosted a radio show titled “City Sounds from the Underground,” for three years on WRUR FM. The show exposed Richards to all genres of dance music, and Richards developed relationships within the industry as the station’s Program Director.
In 1993, Richards opened the doors to 611 Records, the iconic record store for dance music DJs, in his hometown of Philadelphia. Richards’ knack for branding evolved 611 Records from a local record store in Philadelphia to an international lifestyle brand synonymous with dance music and the DJ lifestyle.
Richards, who describes his music as “sexy, spooky, dark techno,” recalls the experience that inspired him to pursue his career as a DJ. In 1993, the same year that he opened 611 Records, Richards was asked to travel to Stuttgart, Germany to perform for 8,000 people. The energy from the room inspired him to devote his life to delivering music to the masses.

Ekoplex is Ray Vincent, a multifaceted psychedelic trance producer from Toronto, Canada. With an arsenal of heavy rolling beats for the dead of night, ethereal offerings for sunrise, and slower grooves for afternoon or early evening, Ekoplex is comfortable performing at any time. Over the years, Ekoplex has developed a visually engaging live setup that features a MIDI-controlled guitar and keyboard combination, thus ensuring that every performance is unique. Ekoplex has been thrilling dance floors across North America for more than half a decade, playing at many major festivals and indoor events. Some highlights include the Eclipse Festival in 2006 and 2008, Gaian Mind in 2008, Harvest 2008, and the Soma 2008 New Year’s event.
In early 2007, Ekoplex rocketed to the top of the Cytopia sales charts with Castle In The Mountain, a song that combines crunchy techtrance rhythms with glistening melodic highs. Shortly thereafter he made his formal debut with the release of the Enter The Dragon EP on Ektoplazm. This was followed by the massively successful launch of Journey Of The Turtle, Ekoplex’s full-length album, in August of 2008.
