Born in Taiwan to a rocket scientist father and kindergarten teacher mother, David Y Wang aka Mochipet’s music has traveled the globe from Europe to Asia and everything in between. With many overseas and US tours his music has been featured in Videos, Games with the Beastie Boys as well as performed by a 20-piece orchestra at New York’s Carnegie Hall. David sees no boundaries in music, which is why he has worked with everyone from Professional Skateboarder Ray Barbee, to Techno Queen Ellen Allien, Jazz drummer Weasel Walter, of The Flying Luttenbachers, and Mashup DJ Z-Trip. Recently you may have heard his songs dropped by DJs such as Bassnectar. He just finished a tour with Sound Tribe Sector 9 and is currently in the studio working on his new release “Rawr Means I Love You” Due out in April 2013!
Zoogma combines the sonic diversity and precision of a DJ with the excitement and immediacy of a four piece rock group. Known for their energetic performances and retina pleasing light show, the band consistently dishes out heavy-weight beat-driven dance parties across the nation. Sets are kinetic, combining live improvisation with carefully crafted beats and melodic textures.
With the release of their debut album, Recreational Vehicles, along with a relentless tour schedule, the four members have already added their unique voice to the live electronic-rock scene. Evolving in Oxford, MS, ZOOGMA’s sound can be described as an eclectic fusion of Electronica, Rock, and Hip-Hop. This blend of genres results in a musical experience that appeals to a range of audiences, with a sound that is refreshingly original yet steeped in the dance music tradition.
The Fungineers are a super group of musical magical weirdoes that make Life more Fun by creating fantastically colorful music, videos, live shows, clothing, toys and more. They bring all their flavors out to shine in their unusual live performance, a fresh mix of original tracks, live looping beatboxing, interactive improv, freestyle songs, crazy visuals, costumed choreography, delivered by an explosive cast of crazy characters. It’s a full sensory adventure that is silly, sexy and surreal.
